“PM Internship Scheme, Stipend Rs.5000 p.m to be launch in December 2024”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a PM Internship Scheme 2024 that will be launch in December, 2024. Children and spouse of government employees will not be eligible for this scheme. The Scheme will be active from 2nd December, 2024 onwards on a pilot basis. PM Modi stated that on the first day of the scheme, total 111 companies has registered to participate. The participation of the companies is entirely voluntary. It is a big opportunity for the students who to gain a real life experience of the industry. Rs. 5000 will be given as stipend to the interns. The duration of the internship will be 12 months.

1. One Crore Youth will get the opportunity to do internships in well reputed companies.
2. The PM Internship scheme aims to train the youth in Top 500 companies in the coming 5 years.
3. The Scheme targets youth of India between the age group of 21 to 24 years.
4. The Family income of the applicant should be less than 8 Lacs.
5. The Scheme aims to provide the practical exposure, training and experience of the job market to the youth.
6. Ministry of Corporate Affairs has created a portal for the scheme.
7. The portal will start functioning from 12, October, 2024 onwards.
8. Interested candidates can apply within 2 weeks.
9. The Government will then select students for the internship programs on the basis of the required qualification and skills set of the applied candidates.
10. The interested candidate has to accept the internships offer between 8 November to 15, November, 2024.
11. The Internship will get started from 2nd, December, 2024 onwards .
12. 1.25 Lacs Interns will get the benifits of the scheme in the first phase for the current financial year.
13. The Interns will get stipend of Rs. 5000 p.m in which Rs. 4500 will be provided by the government and Rs.500 by the company for the CSR fund.
14. The Duration of the Internship will be 12 months.
15. Rs. 6000 will also be given to the interns as a one time grant.
16. Rs. 800 Crores is expected to be spend by the government for the PM Internship Scheme.
17. Insurance cover will also be provided to the interns under the PM Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana.

19. The students of online and distance learning are also eligible for the candidature.
20. Some of the participant companies that are featured on the portal are Cognizant, Vedanta, Kotak, Microsoft, HP, Tata Steel, Adani, Lanco and Pataka.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The candidate should be between 21 to 24 years of age.
2. The candidate should have passed High School and Higher Secondary School.
3. The candidate should have a certificate from ITI, a diploma with polytechnic institutes.
4. Graduates in BA, BCA, BBA, B.SC, B.COM, B.Pharma can also apply for the PM Internship Scheme.
5. The candidates should not be full time employeed.
